Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada (沢田 綱吉, Sawada Tsunayoshi) is the tenth boss of the Vongola Family. He is a loved and respected man, everyone admire him, he is known for having stopped many conflicts and he helped many people. He has also formed new alliances with rival families.

Tsuna is very protective, he loves his wife and his daughter and he doesn't want to put them in danger. For this reason, he has denied the opportunity to make Reborn as a tutor to his daughter, even if he wanted it. He never wanted Nozomi knew something about the Vongola and the Mafia, so he tried to find out something more about the strange dreams of his daughter.

He chose Arina as Nozomi's tutor because she is very smart and humane, this is what Nozomi needed to learn. When his child was small, he gave her a pendant called Vongola Locket. She wanted something with the Vongola's mark like Vongola Primo's clock, so he decided to please her with it.

At the end of Vongola no Uta, Tsuna decides to send Nozomi by his mother Nana to Namimori in Japan, he wanted to keep her away from the dangers of the Mafia, so he sent her away from Italy and gave her a cat named Fortuna.

At the end of the Dreams' Arc he was cold and impassive. He hits Nozomi and tells her that she shouldn't think about fighting and she has to live her teenage years. A little later he is discussing with Gokudera, he says his concerns. He is sad because he didn't want to hurt Nozomi and he doesn't know if he has done well, but he wants to protect her even at the cost of being hated by her.

n the Clover's Arc, Squalo said that Tsuna was looking for her and he sent many Vongola's men in order to find her. Tsuna was aware about Clover's presence and Caesar told him that Clover wanted Caesar and Nozomi, so he was worried and he has promised to pay any amount of money to anyone who finds his daughter.

At the end of the second arc, he arrives in time to save his daughter. She is sad and he reassures her, saying that she has to live her life, and when she will be twenty, maybe he can think of talking to her about mafia stuffs and give her the Vongola Ring of the Sky. He also says that he and Kyoko have decided to call her Nozomi, which means desire, because they want that she realizes her dreams.
